Cell Groups

Cell groups in Elim Christian Fellowship are the ‘hub’ of the church. The cell groups are organised into several different networks: men, women, youth and kids. We believe the Church is a family and our Sunday celebrations are an expression of this unity. However, each cell member has special interests, needs and concerns and is best equipped to reach and disciple others like themselves. So men will best reach and disciple other men and youth will best reach other youth and so on.

Cell Groups meet weekly in homes, the church centre or wherever they choose. The Cell takes time to worship, pray, study the Bible and have fun! Cell Groups allow people to make friends and encourage each other in their faith. People are cared for in their Cell. Outreach is also done through Cells.

Jesus commanded His disciples to “make disciples”. This is a process, and cannot be effectively carried out by only ‘coming to church’ on Sunday mornings. Being part of ECF means being an active part of one of our cells. In fact, it is more important than coming along to our Sunday meetings. We would urge everybody who wants to make ECF their local church to become part of a cell, not because it is our structure, but because they have caught the vision of why cells are so valuable and effective.
